Triste, the Pagan Princess beat me to it. :-)

Ms. Poindexter, glad to hear you'll be joining the ranks of SL bloggers soon. May I recommend Wordpress.com as a fine location for your own blog?

The thing that concerns me about a TG/MG merger is that, no matter whether you have walled-off spaces for adults and teens within that unified grid or not, if you have any common points of contact between teenagers and adults at all as a result, you're going to have a conduit which can be exploited by predatory adults. And that will invite greater scrutiny, and possibly the passage of ill-conceived laws, by RL politicians...and, to me and to the SLGOP platform, that is something which must be avoided at all costs, as the consequences of such would be unpredictable, very likely detrimental, and not easily reversed. (Someday, SL will be big enough and important enough that these issues can be "routed around." But today is not that day, nor is it in the near future. At this point, it's all about "living to fight another day.")

And, when it comes to Mint Oreo ice cream, we remind Ms. Poindexter, and all concerned, that the "Tuxedos" flavor of Safeway Select ice cream is just as good as Ben & Jerry's "Mint Chocolate Cookie." It's also less expensive, and the packaging features penguins, something which SLGOP is also highly in favor of. :-)

I hope to have my own blog up and running within the next few days, but in the meantime I would like to extend Mr. Evans my best wishes, and agree that Mint Oreo is indeed a fine indulgence. :-)

As for the Teen Grid / Main Grid merger, I don't advocate that being done until such time as adult (and teen) areas can be effectively shielded from common areas, which is going to require more than a little time and effort. But in the long run, I don't think the two-grid model is viable, any more than confining the Internet at large to grown-ups would be. (And the current complete jump from one to the other on one's 18th birthday is too heartbreaking to contemplate for long.)
